Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade offers a fun and enriching 
Educational After School Program for children in K – 8th grades, Mondays – Fridays 2:00PM – 7:00PM 

HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE
Youth receive additional academic support from qualified staff during the After-School Program. 

LITERACY ACTIVITIES
Additional academic support is provided by a youth development professional that implements a fun and engaging literacy curriculum to increase the love of reading and promote academic success.

TUTORING
Weekly tutoring is available for qualifying students.

ARTS & CRAFTS
Children explore their creativity through a variety of different projects.

SPORTS AND FITNESS
Scheduled recreation time gives our kids an outlet through physical exertion, as well as social skills development. Sports include basketball, soccer, flag football and volleyball.

STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
A youth development professional engages our young minds in our on-site STEM Lab with experiences that develop their appreciation and use of science, technology, and math in their everyday lives.

GENERAL RECREATION & GAMES
Our club is equipped with board games, billiards, foosball, ping-pong and more for kids to just have fun!

Once your child reaches high school (9th- 12th Grade), in addition to all the valuable resources we currently provide, we offer them a specialized program geared for post-secondary placement, career choices, and future planning. The Teen Program curriculum is designed to prepare them for the next stage in their development and provide meaningful experiences that will help build their character and confidence.

BEFORE CARE (Mater Grove Students Only)

TEACHER WORKDAYS

  • We are open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on all Dade County School Teacher’s Work Days and selected Holidays.
  • Includes snacks
  • Additional lunch or snack items can be purchased at the concession stand if preferred.

The Summer Camp Program is open to all school-aged youth (K-12) and is grouped by age/grade. During the 8-week program, we offer indoor and outdoor activities and most importantly, an hour of literacy daily to maintain the youth’s reading level.  Children will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the program is filled. Parents must come to the Club to register their child.

  • Fieldtrips – It is mandatory for each child attending field trips to wear their Boys & Girls Clubs T-shirt, which will be provided in the first week of camp

  • The Club will be closed on weekends, June 19th and July 4th

Our Clubs offer seasonal sports leagues designed to teach young people the fundamentals of each sport, sportsmanship and teamwork.
