ARRIVAL INFORMATION | SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2019
Arrival by Car
Both garage and uncovered surface lot parking is conveniently available at the cruise terminal, however, it is extremely limited. Designated disabled permit parking spaces are available in the garage and all facilities are patrolled by security. Parking is $22 per night and guests are responsible for associated costs. Garages accept cash, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover®. No debit cards are accepted. Spaces are also available for oversized vehicles (oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers) at special rates. Arrival by Train/Trolley
The Port of Miami is accessible by train by taking Metrorail’s Orange Line to Downtown Miami and then taking the City of Miami Coral Way Trolley from the Government Center Metrorail station (5-minute walk). The trolley will stop directly in front of Terminal B/C. Metrorail transit passes can be purchased online, or at vending machines located at the entrance of each Metrorail station. Approximate cost is $2.25 (one-way), and the Coral Way Trolley is free of charge and departs every 20 minutes approximately. As a reminder, guests are responsible for associated transport costs.
Arrival by Air
The Port of Miami is located 10 miles from the Miami International Airport (MIA), which can be up to a 45-minute drive depending on traffic. We suggest independently arranged flights to arrive into the Miami International Airport (MIA) no later than 11:30AM on embarkation day, Saturday, November 16, 2019. We encourage the use of taxis, car service options and public transportation to the Port of Miami. Vehicle drop-off is directly in front of the cruise terminal, and entryways are designed for quick and easy check-in and boarding process. The approximate cost for a taxi is $30 one-way, and ride services via Uber and/or Lyft are approximately $20.
Guests are responsible for associated costs.
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
The Port of Miami is located 30 miles from the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), which can be up to a 90-minute drive depending on traffic. We suggest independently arranged flights to arrive into the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) no later than 10:30AM on embarkation day, Saturday, November 16, 2019. We encourage the use of taxis, car service options and public transportation to the Port of Miami. Vehicle drop-off is directly in front of the cruise terminal, and entryways are designed for quick and easy check-in and boarding process.

DEPARTURE INFORMATION | SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2019
Departure by Car
For guests departing by car, we do suggest that you prearrange your personal transport to avoid long wait times upon disembarkation. Taxis are typically available onsite, and as a reminder, guests whom have opted to drive to/from the Port of Miami, are responsible for associated parking and/or transport costs. Disembarkation is expected to begin at approximately 7:00AM on Sunday, November 17, 2019, and we suggest you allow a minimum of 45 minutes for this process.
Departure by Rail
The City of Miami Coral Way Trolley stops directly in front of Cruise Terminal B/C every 20 minutes approximately, and offers multiple drop-off points in the downtown area including Metrorail stations for connections to the Miami International Airport, Brightline, and more. Please visit the Metrorail web-site for more details.
Departure by Air
We suggest that guests that have independently arranged flights from the Miami International Airport (MIA) schedule departures no earlier than 11:00AM on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
The approximate cost for a taxi is $30 one-way, and ride services via Uber and/or Lyft are approximately $20. Guests are responsible for associated costs.

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

November 17, 2019. The approximate cost for a taxi is $75 one-way, and ride services via
Uber and/or Lyft are approximately $45. Guests are responsible for associated costs.
Transport time to the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) can be up to 90 minutes.
Guests traveling aboard Norwegian Encore will be required to present the following documents upon embarkation:
A passport that is valid for at least six (6) months after your return date (i.e. May 16, 2020)
U.S. Citizen guests may alternatively bring a valid U.S. Government-issued photo I.D. and proof of U.S. Citizenship, which includes (one of the below):
- State certified U.S. birth certificate
- Baptismal paper, hospital certificates of birth, and Puerto Rico birth certificates
issued prior to July 1, 2010 are not acceptable
- Original certificate of naturalization
- Original certificate of citizenship
- S. Consular report of your birth abroad
All U.S. resident aliens will be required to present a valid passport and U.S. Government issued Resident Card (ARC Card).
You are fully responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate above outlined documentation and you understand embarkation will not be permitted without possession of these documents upon embarkation. Documentation requirements may change at any time prior to embarkation and we recommend that you refer here more details.
All documentation required is the sole responsibility of the guest. Norwegian Cruise Line will not be responsible for advising and/or obtaining required travel documentation for any passenger, or for any delays, damages, and/or losses, including missed portions of your trip, related to improper or absent travel documentation. It is suggested that copies of important documents, including your passport and visas be kept in a separate place, in case the originals are lost or stolen.
A visa is not required for U.S. Citizens. However, should a visa be required for your entry into the United States to attend this event, you are fully responsible for obtaining and covering any associated costs for issuance prior to embarkation. Guests that are required to obtain a visa for travel should be prepared to present the visa/s upon arrival.
MAY I BRING A GUEST?
Staterooms for this one-night cruise are being offered as double occupancy. There are a limited number of triple and quad staterooms available. These will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children under 18 years of age are complimentary. Each additional 3rd and 4th guest over 19 years of age will incur an additional charge of $150 per person.
Staterooms and suites for this event are assigned based on the sponsorship level outlined in the event pamphlet. Lead sponsors will be assigned the highest-level stateroom/suite offered within the respective sponsorship package. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS
The minimum age for sailing is 2 years old, unless otherwise requested.
Norwegian Cruise Line cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during the cruise. All guests are required to sign a health questionnaire at check-in to ensure they are aware of the cruise line’s pregnancy policy.
Confirmed guests will receive a Check-In Now email with a unique reservation ID number and link to their “My NCL” account approximately 14 days prior to the event to gain access to your cruise documentation. Note that guests travelling together in one stateroom will be able to view each other’s personal data while completing the online check-in process.
Please print your travel documents no less than 4 days prior to the inaugural event (by November 12, 2019), and retain these documents as they will assist in expediting the check-in process at embarkation.
If you cannot present these documents, or your name does not appear on the passenger list, please be advised embarkation cannot be permitted due to government-imposed safety and security regulations.
ONBOARD EVENT SCHEDULE
Guests aboard Norwegian Encore’s Inaugural will receive a complete schedule of events and activities, hours of various dining and beverage venues, and other important onboard programming information for this event through the Freestyle Daily, our onboard publication. This can be found each evening in your stateroom, as well as on signage throughout public areas aboard Encore during the inaugural event.
While there is no limit on the number of bags each guest may bring on board, only carry-on luggage is permitted for this short event. We suggest that each guest bring just one carry-on bag that will fit through luggage scanners commonly found at airport security checkpoints. Please note that porter service will not be available on arrival or departure days and all guests will be responsible to hand carry their own luggage.
Your luggage and all personal belongings are solely your responsibility throughout the trip. Norwegian Cruise Line is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged luggage or personal belongings.
We also recommend that you use luggage tags on the outside of your bags and include a copy of your contact information during the trip on the inside of your bag.
Passengers should not bring the following items onboard any Norwegian Cruise Line ship:
Drones (Game Flying Device)
Guests are not permitted to bring drones onboard for safety of other guests, as well as the welfare of the vessel.
Samsung Galaxy Note7
In light of recent safety issues with the Samsung Galaxy Note7, we are asking our guests who own this model to please avoid traveling with this mobile device. The Federal Aviation Administration has banned the Samsung Galaxy Note7 from all air travel, and until further notice, this device will be restricted from all Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Fire is one of the greatest threats at sea and due to the safety concerns these devices present, if one is found in a guest’s possession or unattended in a stateroom onboard, our policy instructs the crew to confiscate the device for safekeeping. The device will remain in our possession, in a safe, monitored location, for the duration of the cruise. Guests can reclaim their device at the conclusion of the cruise from the reception desk.
Alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages of any kind Including water, soda and juices
Unsealed food items
Weapons of any kind including ammunition, explosive substances or any goods of a dangerous nature
Irons / Ironing Boards and Steamers
Guests are not permitted to bring and use their own irons or steamers onboard. Norwegian Cruise Line carries a limited number of irons and ironing boards which can be loaned to guests for a few hours at a time. They can be requested through housekeeping or Guest Services Desk.
Irons and steamers would both be taken from guests at embarkation and returned at the end of the sailing.
Animals of any kind
Except service or guide animals, provided the passenger notifies Carrier prior to the cruise of his intention to bring such animal and agrees to take sole responsibility for any expense, damage, injuries or losses associated with or caused by such animal.
Large Batteries, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), ham radios, satellite phones, transformers, lasers and laser pointers are not allowed onboard.

Norwegian Encore’s Splash Academy (ages 2 to 12) and Entourage (ages 13 to 17) children’s activity programs will be fully activated during this event. If you are traveling with children under the age of 2, we kindly ask that you contact our staff to confirm these arrangements and to request a Pack ‘n Play via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or toll-free at: (866) 694-2924, (North America only) Monday through Friday, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST.
Gala guests will be required to present a valid credit card or cash deposit amount of $300 U.S. Dollars per person upon embarkation to establish your onboard account. This will be used to cover any personal on-board expenses, i.e. spa treatment, onboard shopping, etc. Additionally, guests will be able to place Silent Auction purchases and Sponsor-a-Child payment to their shipboard account.
Guests who choose to provide a cash deposit upon embarkation will receive any excess deposit refunded at the end of the cruise and will be required to visit reception onboard the morning of disembarkation for final onboard account settlement.
Guests who have utilized a credit card to activate their onboard account, an initial approval in the above equivalent amounts is obtained from the issuing bank. Please be advised that some banks may hold the required pre-authorization for up to 30 days. Throughout the voyage, additional incremental holds will be obtained based on your on-board expenditures.
This will further reduce the amount of available credit on the credit card or restrict the availability of cash in your bank account when using a debit card.
The voltage aboard Norwegian Encore is North American standard, 110 volts AC, as well as standard European 220/230 volts AC outlets. To use any additional electrical items onboard, you will need to bring an adaptor with you.
As a part of this event, complimentary Internet access will be provided in all public and stateroom areas of the ship, for guests who bring their own Wi-Fi capable devices. However, please be advised that this does not include streaming. Guests may also “stay connected,” in our internet lounge.

As a part of this event, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Premium Beverage Package is included for all gala guests. Our standard guest alcohol policy will be in effect, which stipulates minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages is 21. Guests who are 18 – 20 years of age may consume beer or wine when the ship is in international waters and provided the parent or legal guardian is onboard the sailing with the young adult and presents themselves at the Front Desk so they can sign the form allowing the consumption of beer and wine only. A notarized Parent Consent Form or any other document allowing for temporary guardianship for the purposes of the sailing only will not be accepted.
Guests who violate any alcohol policy, including but not limited to underage drinking; providing
alcohol to minors or young adults; possessing, concealing or attempting to conceal alcoholic items
in their luggage, when boarding, or while on board; engaging in alcohol drinking games; or failing to
consume alcohol responsibly, will be considered for discipline under the provisions of this policy.
As a part of this event, Norwegian Cruise Line has covered applicable gratuities for all invited guests
aboard this sailing.
Guests are NOT permitted to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic cigarettes, and vapor
devices in their staterooms or on their balconies.
Indoor Public Guest Spaces
Cigar and pipe smoking are permitted in the designated cigar bar or smoking lounge. Ashtrays and
appropriate signage will be provided. Active Casino players may smoke cigarettes, electronic
cigarettes, and vapor smoking devices in the Casino during gaming hours. The Norwegian Encore
has designated smoking room within the Casino.
Cigarette smoking is not permitted in any other indoor venue or location. Electronic cigarettes are
not permitted to be used in public areas where there is a no smoking policy in force.
Outdoor Public Guest Spaces and Open Decks
Guests can smoke cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and pipes in outdoor public guest spaces
and open decks where designated by the appropriate signage. Smoking is not permitted near outdoor
venues which serve food, in open spaces such as the jogging track, sport complex, children’s pool
and in The Haven outdoor areas.
Electronic cigarettes cannot be used in public areas where there is a No Smoking policy in force;
simply because these cigarettes look so realistic and therefore other guests’ perception is that we
are not enforcing the No Smoking rule.
Guests who smoke in their staterooms will be assessed a cleaning fee of $250.00 per
stateroom, which added to the guest’s onboard account. Guests who smoke in their
staterooms are at risk to be disembarked from the ship.
During your stay aboard Norwegian Encore, we encourage you to visit our shops and boutiques as
they will be open and fully operational during the event. Once onboard, please refer to the Freestyle
Daily for hours of operation and location.
ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
We invite our valued guests to experience our highly acclaimed entertainment and recreation
activities including, but not limited to Encore Speedway,, Galaxy Pavilion, and the Fitness
Center. As a part of this special cruise, these activities will be offered complimentary and made
available to book upon embarkation. We will also showcase the six-time Tony Award® winning
production of Kinky Boots.
Please be advised as a courtesy to our guests, we will pre-assign show times to this evening’s featured production based upon your pre-set dining times.
The Spa, Boutique(s) and Casino will also be available for guest’s enjoyment throughout this event.
Credit card information will be collected during the check-in process for any incidentals of a personal
nature, should you wish to experience these locations while onboard.
Due to the very brief nature of this event, we regret to advise that laundry/valet service will not be
available onboard this specific sailing.
WHAT TO WEAR
Temperatures in South Florida and the Bahamas during the month of November average in the low-
80’s during the day, and mid-60’s at night. When it comes to daytime attire, we encourage resort casual. For the evening gala, the attire is cocktail chic for women, and collared shirt, dress pants and jacket for men (no tie required).
Those interested in experiencing Encore Speedway or taking a turn in the Galaxy Pavilion, please
ensure you pack closed-toe shoes.
