Frequently Asked Questions

For all the questions that we get asked the most, we wanted to get you answers quickly!

  • Our Clubs are open from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday during for the Educational After School Program.
  • During Teacher Work Days, spring break, summer and winter programs, Clubs are open full days, from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs are open on Saturdays for sports leagues programs. Games and practice times may vary. Please call specific Club for more information.

 

Clubs offer a wide range programs and activities that are academic focused:

 

  • Educational After School Program, which offers mentoring, tutoring, homework assistance, literacy and STEM activities. Program areas include both individual and small group activities. Please call specific Club for more information.
  • We offer the Teen Program which in addition to providing the educational focus, offers career development (includes fieldtrips and engagement with companies), community engagement and civic activities.
  • We also provide recreational and health-focused activities, such as arts and crafts, cultural activities, dance, fitness, games and special field trips.
  • We provide Full Day Programs during the summer, winter and teacher work days.
  • Year-round, we offer sports leagues and programs, such as: baseball, basketball, football and cheerleading.

Membership is open to school aged youth between the ages of 5-18 – entering Kindergarten and Senior High School Year.

Program fees vary from Club to Club. Please contact the Club for most up-to-date pricing information. Scholarships are available; no child is turned away due to inability to pay.

A parent or guardian needs to come in person and complete the necessary forms to register during regular Club hours. There is no waiting period; children may enjoy Club activities the same day. We encourage parents or guardians to visit a Club for a tour.

Yes, you can register your child/ren to any Club of your choice.

As a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, you can attend any of our Clubs. However, you must attend the program at the Club you registered. If you relocate or need to change Clubs, please contact the Club for assistance.

Transportation from school to the Club is available at the following Clubs only: Kendall Club, Northwest Club and South Beach Club.

You may attend as often as you want-every day or occasionally. We encourage daily attendance. Our programs allow for participation whether you attend regularly or on a drop-in basis.

During the Educational After School program we serve snacks everyday. During Full Day Programs, such as, Teacher Work Days, spring break, summer and winter programs, we serve lunch and snacks everyday.
